Dell Cluster
Dell
cluster in SERC is composed of four compute nodes. Each compute
node is an SMP node built using Two Intel Quad Core X5570 Xeon CPUs. The Thirty-Two Processor cluster is managed by
PBSPro Workload Manager for job submission. Each compute job can use a maximum
of Sixteen processors in this cluster with multi-node jobs enabled for a maximum of two nodes.
The jobs that get to be scheduled on these
nodes are identified based on the PBS job script variables
as described under the Workload Manager section. Based on these variables
PBSPro Workload Manager automatically routes the job into
execution queues to be scheduled to appropriate nodes. The compute
jobs can use MPI based codes and Gaussian 09 with Linda support for multi-node jobs. |
