HyperChem,
the first molecular modeling product for Microsoft Windows,
essentially introduced 3D molecular graphics on the PC.The
new release of HyperChem (7.5) contains a considerable enhancement
of the products ability to deal with protein and biomolecular
structures. Release 7.5, automatically extracts secondary
structure information from Protein Data Bank files and renders
proteins with a variety of new OpenGL renderings of these
secondary structures cylinders, ribbons, sheets, coils,
etc |
AvailabilityHyperChem version 7.5 is installed on windows machines at SERC(I Floor) The License server for HyperChem software is placed at Room no-109 and the client may be anyone in the campus. Licence Server is sunayana.serc.iisc.ernet.in. Only 25 clients can connect to this license server at a time (one user can open many client connections and hog the license). The availability of licenses can be checked using lsmon and lswhere in the admin subdirectory of Hyperchem installation. Procedure to use HYPERCHEM SOFTWARE SUITEAt present this software is on a Windows
2000 server. The HyperChem CD is available in SERC Room
